Job Summary & Responsibilities

The Procurement Manager, Indirects is responsible for strategic sourcing across Conair’s indirect spend, with a primary focus on Professional Fees, Travel & Entertainment (T&E), and SG&A categories. Working closely with Finance and internal stakeholders, this role develops category strategies, negotiates supplier agreements, and delivers cost savings across the business. We are looking for a strategic sourcing professional who is comfortable working with spend data, building business cases, and managing supplier relationships from RFP through contract execution.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Category Strategy & Sourcing

  • Develop and manage sourcing strategies for indirect categories, with a primary focus on Professional Fees (consulting, legal, audit, and agency services), Travel & Entertainment, and other SG&A spend.
  • Run competitive sourcing events such as RFPs and RFQs, and lead negotiations to secure favorable pricing and terms.
  • Analyze spend data to identify sourcing opportunities and build the business case for each initiative.

Supplier Management

  • Manage supplier relationships across assigned categories and monitor performance against service levels and contractual commitments.
  • Negotiate and administer contracts, and resolve pricing, service, or delivery issues as they arise.

Cost Savings & Analysis

  • Identify and deliver measurable cost savings that support Conair’s annual budget and financial targets.
  • Support tracking to report savings and maintain accurate category/supplier data.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Finance, Legal, HR, Facilities, and other functions to understand requirements and align sourcing decisions with business needs.
  • Support stakeholders in supplier selection and provide guidance on procurement policy and process.

Process Improvement

  • Identify and implement improvements to sourcing, purchasing, and contract management processes.
  • Support the adoption of procurement tools and best practices that improve efficiency and spend visibility.

 

Required Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience, including hands-on experience managing indirect categories.
  • Demonstrated success delivering cost savings and negotiating supplier contracts.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience sourcing Professional Fees, T&E, and/or SG&A categories.
  • MBA or advanced degree.
  • Professional certification such as CPSM, CIPS, or PMP.
  • Experience with an ERP system such as SAP.

 

 

Compensation and Benefits:

 

Conair provides a reasonable estimate of the annual salary for this role. This range reflects the Company’s good faith estimate and takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to business needs, market conditions, candidate experience, skill set and internal equity. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $120,000 to $130,000 per year.

 

In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for an annual bonus opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage; short and long term disability; paid parental leave;11 paid holidays; paid vacation time; 2 volunteer days; employee discounts and a 401k plan with employer contribution.

 

 

 

Environmental Factors:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
  • This role requires on-site presence in the Stamford, CT office Monday through Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely on Fridays.
