How will you make an impact?
The Primary responsibility of the Procurement Manager – CRG Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) is to oversee and lead Corporate level reporting of Clinical Research Group’s (CRG) supplier base. Partners with departmental SRM teams to drive consistent reporting and to manage certain service types where gaps exist. Plays a lead role in resolving supplier performance issues or quality events as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) in the service type.
What will you do?
- Develop and maintain a Vendor Management Plan (VMP) at a corporate supplier level
- Develop and implement a governance model for ongoing supplier oversight.
- Consolidate supplier study level performance data at a corporate level
- Monitor suppliers to ensure compliance to contractual terms and regulatory requirements
- Trends performance and identifies red flags
- Work with study teams and departmental SRM’s to drive consistent tracking of performance against contractual terms and regulatory metrics
- Collaborate with Vendor Management Operations, Vendor Quality Management, Information Security, Data Privacy, IT, and other departments for vendor qualification.
- Identify and approve strategic suppliers along with our Strategic Procurement team.
- Assist with due diligence and onboarding approved vendors to the Approved Vendor List (AVL).
- Conduct regular check-ins to discuss new opportunities, identify risks, and review performance.
- Ensure suppliers align with quality management systems and data privacy requirements.
- Monitor performance issues and quality events, ensuring they are appropriately recorded and managed.
- Communicate vendor quality events to clients as per the project-specific communication plan.
- Conduct periodic lessons-learned meetings to continuously improve supplier relationships.
- Work closely with procurement, legal, and project leads to ensure seamless supplier management.
- Ensure regular communication and updates with project teams working with suppliers.
How will you get here?
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience
- Five to seven years experience working in procurement, compliance, quality or highly regulated industries
- Experience in supplier relationship management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of vendor management lifecycle and governance models.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and data privacy regulations.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a complex organization

- Strong analytical and trend analysis capabilities.

- Requires ability to deal with ambiguity and the corresponding capacity to make decisions or recommendations based on potentially incomplete information
- Must be able to work across all functions and levels of an organization
- International experience (plus) – working experience with different countries/regions/languages and cultures
- Self motivated, results oriented, and motivated to work effectively without supervision.
- Proven customer service orientation.
