Job Description

The Procurement Manager is responsible for executing global and regional procurement strategies across Asia Cluster markets. Working closely with business stakeholders and global category teams, the role drives value creation through strategic sourcing, supplier and contract management, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and sustainable procurement practices, while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and governance standards.

The role requires a proactive, commercially focused self-starter who can act as a trusted procurement partner to senior stakeholders while balancing local business needs with regional and global priorities. Please note that this role is a 1-year contract.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities across Marketing & Sales, Corporate Services, Technology, and other assigned spend categories.

  • Execute global and regional category strategies locally, aligning procurement initiatives with business priorities and market requirements.

  • Develop sourcing strategies, conduct competitive bidding processes, evaluate supplier proposals, negotiate commercial terms, and support supplier selection.

  • Deliver measurable business value through cost savings, cost avoidance, demand management, process improvements, and risk mitigation initiatives.

  • Build trusted partnerships with business stakeholders and promote early Procurement involvement in planning, budgeting, and sourcing decisions.

  • Manage supplier relationships, including contract execution, performance monitoring, service quality, risk management, and continuous improvement activities.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement governance standards, contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and sustainability objectives.

  • Leverage spend analytics, market intelligence, procurement technologies, and data-driven insights to support sourcing decisions and identify value creation opportunities.

  • Collaborate effectively with global and regional procurement teams while supporting procurement activities across Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, and other designated Asian markets.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential Requirements:

  •  Bachelor's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline; CIPS certification and/or a Master's degree is advantageous.

  • Minimum 4-6 years of procurement experience within a multinational organization, preferably in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated industries.

  • Fluent English and professional working proficiency in Mandarin are required.

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, competitive tendering, supplier negotiations, contract management, and supplier relationship management.

  • Demonstrated experience managing indirect procurement categories, ideally including Marketing & Sales, Corporate Services, Technology, or Professional Services.

  • Strong commercial, financial, and analytical acumen, with a track record of delivering measurable savings, compliance, and business value outcomes.

  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and drive procurement initiatives across cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance business needs, risk, and compliance requirements.

  • Experience using procurement technologies and digital sourcing tools, including e-sourcing platforms, spend analytics, contract lifecycle management systems, and SAP Ariba or equivalent solutions
