Procurement Lead

Title:

KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Procurement Lead to support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia.  This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas.  The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.

The Procurement Lead role will support and manage all procurement work for the project.

Responsibilities: 

• Interface with all engineering disciplines
• Use awareness of construction, safety practices, general operating procedures and philosophies in support of project procurement
• Review & follow procurement procedures
• Work closely with subcontractors & vendors
• Tender process and bud evaluation of the LNG facility

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering related field
• 9 + years of experience in procurement
• 5 + years of experience in Lead Procurement role
• Must have been in a Lead Procurement role that has supported FEED & EPCI projects for LNG Plants
• Proven ability working within a risk procurement framework
• Expertise in procurement procedures
• Demonstrated ability creating & maintaining relationships with subcontractors & vendors
• Knowledgeable in the tendering process and bid evaluation of LNG Facilities is required
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and superior planning and organizational skills
• Familiarity with gas industry codes and standards and industry is desirable
