What You'll Be Doing
- Assist with procurement projects within the strategic sourcing team across key categories.
- Support supplier data analysis to identify cost-saving and process improvement opportunities.
- Support with RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, bid analysis, supplier evaluations, and sourcing events.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and procurement insights.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of monthly strategic sourcing reports and key performance metrics.
- Conduct market research and benchmarking to support sourcing initiatives.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation with accuracy.
- Participate in negotiations, supplier meetings, and project discussions as appropriate.
- Develop and present recommendations based on data analysis and business needs.
What Are We Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Finance, Logistics, Mining, Energy Management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Curiosity about emerging procurement trends and technologies, including AI and its applications in sourcing, spend analytics, supplier management, and procurement automation.
