We are excited to announce that we are recruiting for the position of Category Manager - Marketing and Professional Services to join our dynamic and growing team. This role is integral to shaping and driving our marketing and professional services procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the marketing and professional services categories, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to build strategic partnerships that deliver value and innovation. As a Category Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that we align our procurement activities with business objectives, optimize cost efficiency, and foster collaboration across departments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
Ensure engagement & management of relationship with stakeholders in areas of responsibility
- Build in-depth knowledge of supported group
- Gather spend information within supported entities to identify and implement where needed areas of quality, lead-times, cash and payment terms opportunities, savings, risk mitigation, sustainability and innovation
- Further develop procurement strategy for management approval to achieve the target of the
supported Divisions
Review, optimize and manage spend category strategy
- Gather information related to the current and potential supply market in the category, delivering cost optimization and innovation-driven solutions
- Review status of relationships with current suppliers together with budget owners
- Interact with internal customers to identify growth/development opportunities and evaluate new business opportunities
Carry out sourcing and P2P activities
- Build multi-functional teams and drive Procurement projects in compliance with the business Strategy and with Responsible Procurement practices
- Lead Procurement projects across business functions leveraging and developing Zentiva sourcing assets (RFI, RFQ, negotiation, contracting, etc.)
- Actively collaborate and communicate with all relevant internal partners
Carry out supplier relationship management
- Segment and rationalize the existing supply base in respective category spend
- Analyse risks and set-up risk mitigation plan
- Proactively work with suppliers to strengthen business relations (reduce service times, improve overall delivery performance, and reduce costs)
- Set up supplier continuous improvement program where appropriate
- Review purchase orders, contracts, invoices, etc. based on approval flow and/or escalation to procurement
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS
- University level and master in procurement
- 5 to 10 international experiences in Procurement/contracting management, out of which, 3 years in a project manager level position
- Ability to represent Zentiva's interests to outside professionals and suppliers
- Strong negotiation skills
- Decision making ability to purchase goods or services in alignment with the objectives of the supported entities
- Comprehensive understanding of Procurement processes and knowledge of best practices for sourcing, supplier management and procure-to-pay
- Preferred experience in Procurement in a pharmaceutical environment
- Experience of project management in a complex (multi-cultural / multi-functional) scope
- Financial background is an asset
