Responsibilities- Owning the process of daily procurement operations, by creating purchase orders based on stakeholder requisitions, while ensuring compliance and maximizing value to Tower’s APAC operations
- Negotiating with external suppliers for proposals and quotes, while balancing cost and timely delivery
- Building and maintaining strong internal business partner and stakeholder relationships, developing strategies that rely on external suppliers
- Managing the delivery logistics of external order and internally managed hardware shipments, and proactively monitoring delivery progress and addressing logistics challenges as needed
- Ensuring that all purchased goods are in line with company standards and in compliance with all relevant laws, rules, and regulations
- Working with the finance department and suppliers to process invoices on time and resolve any discrepancies
- Providing support to the APAC Procurement Manager on an as-needed basis for special initiatives, acting in both regional and global capacities
- Supporting ad-hoc regional reports
- 3 to 5 years of relevant procurement experience in an IT or technology environment, or equivalent experience in a similar procurement role supporting infrastructure, hardware, software, or related technology categories
- A bachelor’s degree in procurement and supply chain management or a related field (preferred)
- Good understanding of procurement best practices and the buying process
- Working knowledge of procurement management software, such as Oracle, Ariba, and GEP, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to exhibit judgment and decision making skills
- Outstanding problem solving and time management skills, and attention to detail
- Capable with dealing with ambiguity and independent problem solving
- Experience working on procurement of IT equipment for a global firm
- Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin is preferred as the role involves regular communication with suppliers in China and Hong Kong who primarily conduct business in Mandarin.
