How You Will Make an Impact
As the Procurement Associate, you will provide support for all assigned locations per company policies, procedures, and project goals. The position utilizes best-in-class strategic sourcing and techniques to identify, qualify, solicit, select, and negotiate with vendors to obtain materials and services from vendors at the best value for the company with consideration given to cost, safety, quality, reliability, and delivery requirements per the company's need. You will be reporting to the Credit Manager.
This role will be based onsite at our Headquarters in Austin, TX.
Responsibilities
- Source best price/quality/service from strategic vendors
- Ability to perform cost and data analysis
- Purchase jobsite materials, tools, and supplies with high attention to detail
- Arrange shipments with LTL, HOT SHOT, or Courier services to ensure timely deliveries
- Obtain quotes for cost comparison and lead times
- Work cooperatively with others in a Team environment
- Interact with suppliers – pricing, net terms, shipping, points of contact
- Track Vendor KPI’s, document control, vendor insurance and status
- Resolve material, shipping, and invoicing errors
- Perform audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Maintain accurate records – preferred vendor list, new vendor requests, COI status,
- PO database entry and tracking
- Track/ follow up on orders
- Research products
- Assist in process improvement recommendations to relevant procedures, policies, and systems
- Update vendor profile in ERP systems as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years recent Purchasing/Sourcing experience preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience in Oil and Gas fracing is preferred, but not required
- Occasional travel required to our facilities in West Texas (quarterly)
- Proficient Computer Skills: MS Word, Excel
