About the Role
We are looking for an energetic and detail-oriented Procurement Associate to support our procurement and supply chain operations for Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) manufacturing. The role involves vendor sourcing, purchasing, inventory coordination, and ensuring the timely availability of materials required for production. Ideal candidates are proactive, eager to learn, possess strong communication skills, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including vendor sourcing, RFQs, purchase orders, and supplier follow-ups.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality, cost-effective, and timely procurement.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Engineering, Finance, and other departments to ensure uninterrupted material availability.
- Monitor inventory requirements and coordinate replenishment to avoid stock shortages.
- Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, invoices, and vendor documentation.
- Coordinate logistics and shipment tracking for domestic and import purchases.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and support continuous process improvements.
Requirements
Required Skills
- Candidates must have 1–2 years of relevant experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain. Freshers are not eligible for this role.
- Vendor sourcing and supplier development.
- Purchase order management and procurement documentation.
- Strong price negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (preferably Zoho ERP).
- Good proficiency in MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience in Robotics, Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Electronics, or Engineering companies is preferred.
- Knowledge of manufacturing procurement processes.
- Familiarity with electronics, electrical, and mechanical components.
- Basic understanding of import/export documentation, Incoterms, and logistics coordination.
- Energetic, proactive, and willing to take ownership of responsibilities.
- Strong team player with the ability to coordinate effectively across multiple departments.
Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
