The Procurement and Supply Continuity Analyst executes buying strategies aligned with material planning requirements, with a focus on improving supplier performance, ensuring supply continuity, and supporting operational readiness ahead of demand. The role partners closely with sourcing, supplier quality, engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams to drive procurement excellence, supplier capacity management, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring high-quality product and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Execute procurement and buying strategies in alignment with approved material buying plans and business requirements.
- Collaborate with sourcing teams to drive supplier process improvements while maintaining quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
- Analyze procurement initiatives, supplier performance, and operational data to identify improvement opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
- Support communication and coordination between manufacturing facilities and suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and issue resolution.
- Interact with suppliers regarding payment concerns, order fulfillment, delivery performance, and escalation management.
- Collect, validate, and analyze supplier scorecard metrics to support supplier performance management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide delivery and expediting support during supplier disruptions or continuity risks impacting plant operations.
- Support management and execution of engineering releases and related procurement activities.
- Serve as a primary liaison between Procurement, Sourcing, Supplier Continuity, Supplier Quality, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Lead deadline-driven execution activities, ensuring adherence to escalation SLAs, timely assessments, and closure of procurement-related tasks.
- Review and analyze procurement and supplier data from global suppliers, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
- Support risk mitigation activities related to supplier capacity, continuity of supply, reputational exposure, and operational performance.
- Utilize procurement systems, reporting tools, and analytics platforms to monitor workflows, troubleshoot issues, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives through data analysis, reporting, automation, and process optimization.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
