Job Description

The Procurement Analyst is responsible for playing a key role in the supply chain management process. Their primary responsibility is to serve as the liaison between their employer and vendors.

Duties include vetting vendors, as well as, maintaining inventory, entering purchase orders and documenting product returns.

This is an onsite position in our West Dundee, IL location. There are no remote or relocation options.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Placing and expediting supply orders for inventory
  • Supporting Procurement and Logistics Manager in purchasing and importing from overseas suppliers, including customs clearing procedures
  • Assisting in creation/maintenance of inventory models and management reports
  • Preparing management reporting/analytics for essential inventory-related transaction/functions; including, but not limited to; returns, cycle counts, obsolete/slow moving items
  • Check inventory levels against agreed guidelines; report/act/resolve deficiencies and/or differences
  • Process documentation for product returns
  • Assist in maintaining inventory master files – including regular review of reorder stock levels
  • Maintain vendor master file as required
  • Purchase order entry and expediting
  • Review materials price variances
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:  Minimum

  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or relevant experience or degree; advanced degree/certification preferred
  • Knowledge of U.S. sales & use tax filing requirements
  • Experience in Purchasing, Materials Management, Import/Export logistics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with inventory analysis tools, i.e., ABC models; demand forecasting

Compensation Range (Annual)

  • $55,000-$65,000(depending on level and location)

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, as well as geographic location, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
