We’re looking for a Procurement Analyst to join C.H. Robinson! In this role, you'll dive into Global Forwarding Inland Product programs, managing daily operations, keeping carrier contracts and profiles up-to-date, analyzing data, and leading projects that make a real impact. You'll connect with both carriers and our internal teams to strengthen inland services across our network.
Your work will include prepping data, optimizing processes, managing rates, and configuring systems across a range of projects and teams. You’ll team up with Product teams, Global Forwarding leaders, and our Carrier network to provide training, solve problems, and track progress toward big goals. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:

Build and maintain relationships across departments and regions within the internal network

Provide benchmarking and key performance indicator (KPI) support with customers, carriers, and network leadership

Define internal processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
-
Support annual gross profit (AGP) initiatives and track progress toward network goals
-
Manage carrier vetting, onboarding, tracking codes, and relationships in aligned U.S. markets, including KPI scorecarding and service reviews
-
Handle network escalations for carrier issues and maintain carrier statements of authority (SOA)
-
Review yield management for inland services with commercial teams, covering chassis, detention and demurrage (D&D), marine drayage, warehousing, and accessorial fees

Track electronic data interchange (EDI) metrics and escalate carrier and Global Forwarding network support issues

Maintain contract carrier buy rates to support the marine drayage procurement strategy

Drive procurement process efficiencies through operational changes, automation, and post-engagement feedback collection using agile methodologies
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
-
High school diploma or GED
-
Minimum 2 years of previous procurement, project management, or transportation experience

Ability to work flexible schedule on occasion, some night and weekend hours may be required

Ability to travel up to 10% (domestically and/or internationally)/Expected travel for 2 events per year
Preferred:
-
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Previous project management experience and familiarity with Six Sigma, Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or process improvement methodologies

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills with the ability to make informed decisions and recommendations
-
Knowledge of effective change management techniques and solid planning skills
-
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for analysis and content development

Strong self-accountability, drive, and authority to express ideas and influence outcomes

Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional nights and weekends

Strong multitasking and prioritization skills with keen attention to detail in a fast-paced, global environment

Compensation Range
$53,900.00 - $112,000.00
