Role description: 

The Procurement Analyst will lead sourcing delivery and drive strategic supplier innovation. The role will also assist and support team leaders with performance management, coaching team members, and identifying development needs.

 

Role accountabilities: 

  • Lead contract management process including work authorizations and amendments. 
  • Lead RFx processes through requirement and specification gathering
  • Deliver outcomes by coordinating activities of subcontractors and suppliers, acting as a primary point of contact.
  • Collect and analyze the key cost drivers, market dynamics and issues.
  • Resolve complex/internal supplier queries in line with policies and procedures
  • Independently collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods and formats.
  • Manage complex data analysis processes and opportunities for data-driven improvements.
  • Resolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.

    Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education



 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience working in an analyst, procurement, commercial or business support role, with exposure to procurement processes, supplier management or sourcing activities within a complex organizational environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of procurement principles, sourcing processes and supplier lifecycle management, with the ability to support effective procurement operations and business objectives.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing and interpreting procurement, supplier or commercial data to support informed decision making, reporting and operational improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, evaluate information and provide practical recommendations that support procurement performance.
  • Experience supporting procurement activities, including supplier engagement, contract administration, spend analysis or reporting, within a structured business environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate procurement records, data integrity and compliance with established governance and procurement policies.
  • Good organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate activities and deliver high quality outcomes within agreed timelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with procurement colleagues, business stakeholders and suppliers across a matrixed organization.
  • Experience using procurement, ERP or reporting systems, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, to support analysis and reporting activities.
