The Chewy Campus Recruiting Team is seeking a motivated Procurement Analyst Intern to join our Procurement team based in Plantation, Florida.

Internship Timeframe:  June 3rd – August 9th, 2024 (must be available for the full duration)

Qualified Students:  Rising Seniors

Our Opportunity: 

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Tech Procurement Intern to join our team for a 10-week internship program. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain valuable experience in procurement processes within the technology sector. The intern will work closely with our procurement team to support various projects and initiatives aimed at optimizing procurement strategies and enhancing supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quickly familiarize oneself with the existing procurement processes and tools within the organization.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects and initiatives, demonstrating a proactive and self-directed approach to problem-solving.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers.
  • Engage in project management activities, ensuring timely execution and delivery of procurement objectives.
  • Lead or assist in contract renewals, including reviewing contract documents and negotiating terms with vendors.
  • Provide support for small-scale new projects.
  • Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across different departments, including senior management, to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in supporting procurement activities across different projects.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong interest in procurement, supply chain management, or related fields.
  • Excellent analytical and research skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
