JOB PURPOSE
As a Processing Auditor at Transportation Insight, you will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial and operational processes. Leveraging your attention to detail and analytical skills, you will review and audit transactional data, invoices, and documentation to identify discrepancies, errors, and potential areas for improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct detailed audits of financial and operational transactions, including freight invoices, billing records, and shipping documentation, to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Analyze transactional data and documentation to identify discrepancies, errors, and anomalies, investigating root causes and recommending corrective actions to address issues and improve process efficiency.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, contractual agreements, and internal controls, identifying gaps and implementing measures to mitigate risks and ensure adherence to standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization, recommending and implementing enhancements to streamline workflows and enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of audit findings, corrective actions, and process improvements, preparing reports and presentations to communicate results to stakeholders.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on audit processes, procedures, and best practices, promoting a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
- Conduct quality assurance checks and reviews to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial and operational data, verifying compliance with established standards and requirements.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in auditing, accounting, or related role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and errors in financial and operational data.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to review and analyze large volumes of data and documentation.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and experience with financial and accounting software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

SCHEDULING
This is a full-time benefits-eligible position, working Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. An employee in this position must be available to work occasionally on weekends and evenings, during peak periods.
