Provides sustaining engineering support for crystal growth manufacturing processes. Maintains calibration records, owns standard operating procedures and training, improves equipment, production efficiency, yields, and quality, and conducts DOE and SPC analyses. Collaborates with design, facilities, logistics, and software teams to resolve production interruptions. Supports IATF audits and maintains process documentation including PFDs, PFMEAs, and PCPs while mentoring junior engineers and technicians.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area in Crystal Growth.
  • Maintains record of calibration and verification of measurement devices used in manufacturing documents.
  • Owns standard operating procedures and associated trainings for manufacturing processes.
  • Recommending and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products.
  • Developing and conducting statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and quality management systems
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with JMP or similar statistical analysis software
  • Experience with SQL preferred
