Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Providing technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area in Crystal Growth.
- Maintains record of calibration and verification of measurement devices used in manufacturing documents.
- Owns standard operating procedures and associated trainings for manufacturing processes.
- Recommending and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products.
- Developing and conducting statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical cause of failure for yield loss and improving quality.
- Interacting with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible.
- Participating in internal and external IATF audits and ensuring all control documentations (PFD, PFMEA, and PCP) are up to date.
- Collaborating with downstream departments, facilities, logistics and software teams to resolve interruptions to production.
- Providing guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, or related field
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and quality management systems
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience with JMP or similar statistical analysis software
- Experience with SQL preferred
