As a Process Safety and Risk Management Coordinator here at Solstice Advanced Materials, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement of the site’s Process Safety Management (PSM) programs. This role helps ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, reduces process safety risks, and strengthens alignment across Environmental, Health & Safety (HSE), Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance functions. The position plays a key role in identifying program gaps, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and supporting the execution of critical process safety responsibilities.
In this role, you will contribute to the organization's success by developing, implementing, and sustaining comprehensive PSM programs that align with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company expectations, with a strong emphasis on safe work practices. Through effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement, you will help integrate HSE and PSM principles into business processes, operational decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position is also responsible for planning, coordinating, and supporting PSM implementation efforts across site locations, ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational excellence while reinforcing the organization's commitment to safety, sustainability, and responsible business practices.
You will work out of our Geismar, LA facility and report to the Sr HSE Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support operations across a broad range of activities to ensure alignment with HSE standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead incident investigations, perform root cause analysis, ensure implementation of corrective actions
- Support the execution of core PSM elements (PHA, PSI, MOC, PSSR) by coordinating cross-functional activities, tracking, and following up on action items, assisting with documentation and system updates, and verifying
- Conduct PSSRs for new or modified equipment, ensuring all safety measures are in place before start-up
- Drive continuous improvement in process safety performance through audits, assessments, and corrective action tracking
- Support business continuity and emergency preparedness by maintaining plans, supporting drills, and tracking actions to improve readiness
- Support internal and external audits, regulatory inspections, and compliance reporting
- Maintain process safety dashboard tracking critical program execution, ensuring on time and effective performance for improvement actions projects and processes
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, environmental science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in chemical manufacturing operations, with substantial exposure to high hazard processes
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, PSM, RMP, and other relevant HSE regulations for chemical manufacturing
- Strong background in PHA HAZOP methodologies and LOPA
- Demonstrated project management skills

COMPENSATION
The annual base salary for this position is $141,096-$176,371. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
