Job Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
Serves as a subject matter expert in implementing process improvement methodologies with a focus on six sigma and project management techniques. Delivers business process improvement capabilities and best practices across all departments and functions within the organization, with a focus on small to medium business initiatives. Ability to analyze data and processes to ensure success and adherence to the company’s corporate goals and strategies. Strong capability to facilitate small to medium process improvement initiatives is a critical component of the position.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESProvides assistance and leads small to medium projects under guidance which may include training, system enhancements, development, improvement, redesign, and documentation of processes. Works with Subject Matter Experts across the company to maintain and develop business process maps.
Assist in the redesign of business processes.
Assists in improving processes and people-related aspects of business performance using specific tools and methods to achieve bottom line results.
Assists in design, and development of training programs on the company’s process improvement capability as requested.
Facilitates small to medium approved process improvement initiatives; may generate process maps to support process improvement based on input from Subject Matter Experts for inclusion in procedural documentation.
Assists in maintaining and developing information on process improvement for company employees.
Identifies potential process improvement projects.
Performs other work-related duties as assigned. Minimal travel may be required (up to 25%).
May provide input and requirements for long range IT and organizational strategic plans.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
B.A. / B.S. in business administration, the life sciences, computer science, information technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in Business Process Improvement and Project Management experience, Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification required (Six Sigma Green Belt- preferred).
Understands DMAIC methodologies and related lean and facilitation toolsets.
Basic/limited analytical skills to evaluate the information gathered from multiple sources.
Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines while delivering high quality work in a dynamic environment are essential.
Experience in presentation, documentation, influencing, and interpersonal skills as well as a team-oriented approach.
Limited proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio), voicemail, and Email; basic MS Project skills are preferred.
