An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Process Operative to join the core manufacturing team at Rolls-Royce Submarines in Derby. We are enjoying a growth period, and this is an exciting opportunity to join an ever-growing team to support Core Manufacturing.

Your needs are as unique as you are. What you will be doing

Contributing to the Continuous At Sea Deterrent of the Royal Naval Submarine Fleet

• Ensuring the rigorous compliance to all nuclear and conventional safety regulations
• Liaise with peers and technical staff at all levels
• Delivering a defined set of tasks, following procedures to apply established methods in different situations to deliver against a plan
• Working in an integrated team to achieve cell targets and effectively resolve quality issues

• Proficient knowledge and understanding of chemical processing and heat treatment, gained through on the job experience
• Experience of working in the nuclear industry
• Strong health and safety background, conventional and nuclear
• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing engineering drawings and technical instructions

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance.  Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place.  Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
