Lead teams of engineers who define processes to fabricate, assemble, inspect and test new products and machines based on production engineering and design principles. As a Plant Engineering Architect, you will lead the design and development of plant engineering solutions across the full facility lifecycle for chemical and discrete manufacturing clients, translating complex facility challenges into structured, executable, and future-ready engineering solutions. You will bridge plant engineering domain expertise with Accenture's digital and consulting capabilities to plan, architect, and deliver plant expansion and manufacturing transformation programs.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
Responsible for team decisions.
Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
Lead the design and development of plant engineering solutions across the full facility lifecycle, from concept and FEED through detailed engineering, layout, construction support, commissioning, and handover.
Define end-to-end plant layout and facility design strategies, incorporating process flow optimisation, material handling, utilities integration, safety zones, and regulatory compliance.
Contribute to debottlenecking studies, capacity expansion plans, and technology transfer programs to identify constraints and unlock production potential.
Engage with CXO, VP Engineering, and senior plant leadership stakeholders to shape plant engineering and facility transformation roadmaps.
Professional & Technical Skills:
Must To Have Skills: Plant engineering experience in chemical or discrete manufacturing, spanning project planning, plant layout and facility design, technology transfer, capacity optimisation, and debottlenecking.
Hands-on experience with plant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, AVEVA E3D, or Intergraph SmartPlant.
Familiarity with process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or ChemCAD.
Knowledge of engineering standards including HAZOP/HAZAN, Process Safety Management (PSM), OSHA/NEBOSH, and ISO 45001.
Experience with Digital Twin concepts, project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project), and EPC project delivery frameworks (FEED, EPC, EPCM).
Additional Information:
The candidate should have a minimum of 8 years of experience in plant engineering within chemical or discrete manufacturing.
This position is based at our Bengaluru/Pune office.
A 15 years full time education is required.
