Job Overview
Accountable to maintaining focus and implementation of lean activities across the facility. Emphasis on daily lead management visual aids, LSW training, 5S audit practices and lean methodologies events and action.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in kaizen event preparation and sustain actions
- Assist in data collection and analysis for problem solving
- Help replenish CI supplies
- Assist in maintaining lead daily management (LDM) boards and other visual tools
- Facilitate 5S audit process
- With training, maintain Leader Standard Work (LSW)
- With training, solve basic problems using CI tools
- Aptitude to speak in front of teams and help conduct training sessions
- Conduct standard work audits
- Proficient in Power Point and Word
- Versed in Excel
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred
- Participation in Lean Kaizen events
- Self-Initiative – needs minimal supervision, self-starter`
- Influencing skills – builds trust with team members; helps them see the win-win
- Computer skills are a plus– familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, proficient typing skills
- Aptitude to develop organizational and time-management skills
- Flexible to changing work demands
- Maintains a positive attitude
- Aptitude to develop communication skills to participate in and, at times help lead, kaizen events
- Ability to sit, walk and stand as required for multiple Gemba walks per day and all-day kaizen events; ability to demonstrate most job functions on the floor; can lift up to 40 pounds.
- Flexible to support both shifts as needed
- Bilingual is a plus
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
