The Role

This role is in support of AvidXchange’s Operations Team reporting to the Manager of Business Insights. You will have a strong focus on executing root-cause analysis while delivering analytics support and key insights to Operations business stakeholders. The Business Planning team’s mission is to be a systems-minded team enabling confident and fast execution of insights to actions through root-cause analysis, solutioning of business problems, and analytics support. Teammates will work in a cross-functional environment with various teams in operations as well as key partners across other organizations at AvidXchange with a goal of generating improvements in operational processes and customer experience.

  • Primary partner to Operations leadership helping to define and develop critical leading and lagging indicators to support the health of their business.
  • Execute on the development of process scorecards for Sr. leadership to individual
  • contributors across operations.
  • Work in partnership with business leaders to generate technical solutions aimed to streamline manual processes utilizing tools such as SSRS, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power Apps, Microsoft Power BI, or other similar tools.
  • Generate insights and proactive recommendations in partnership with Operations leaders to drive improved business outcomes.
  • Perform end-to-end business and process analyses utilizing tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, Python/R, or other data analysis tools.
  • Develop deep understanding of business functions and processes with ability to connect the data linkage between people, process, and technology.
  • Act as critical representative from Operations organization to support new products or product enhancement efforts where underlying data may be impacted.

  • High proficiency in SQL
  • Advanced proficiency using various applications like SQL, Python/R, Excel, Power BI, Power Platform, etc.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Design, implement and monitor metrics to track the progress and success of programs, and to highlight issues on a timely basis
  • Strong time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Ability to utilize sound business judgement to drive optimal outcomes
  • Green or Yellow belt certification in Lean / Six Sigma
  • Strong verbal and written communications (specifically in communicating complex concepts)
  • Innovative and solution oriented perspective
  • Highly organized with ability to lead multiple initiatives
  • Flexibility in changing day-to-day tasks and action items to meet changing business needs
  • Experience in a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company
