The Role
Develops and optimizes chemical manufacturing processes, including process flow diagrams, mass balances, equipment sizing, scale-up, validation, and process transfer. Designs process equipment for new projects, improves batch times, yields, capacity, energy and solvent usage, and supports troubleshooting. Performs cost calculations, root cause analysis, technology evaluations, effluent reduction initiatives, equipment lifecycle studies, and production problem resolution.

Location - Ankleshwar Unit 2
Department - Process Engineering
Experience - 3 to 7 years
Qualification - B.E (Chemical)
- · Preparation of process flow diagram for products.
- · Prepare mass balance for new & existing product. Selection of process equipment’s and its capacity rating for different processes.
- · Critical parameters study of new products and existing products.
- · Ensuring the feasibility of the process initially at the lab scale, Scaling up the Product & transfer the process from Lab scale to commercial scale.
- · Execution of validation batches of new molecule & existing molecule. Part of basic and detail engineering team for new project (process related). Designing of process equipment. (Heat Exchanger, Condenser, Reactor, Filters, scrubber, distillation column etc.).
- · Batch Time Cycle Reductions & Capacity enhancement of the product. Capacity calculation for new facility. (Optimizing Equipment for given production capacity for new facility.).
- · Variable cost calculation of different products for total product cost calculation. Route cause Analysis & Trouble shootings for OOS, OOT & incident.
- · MOC testing experiment and determination of equipment life cycle for different process. Initiate yield improvement activity by doing the gap analysis between achieved yield v/s theoretical yield; & working for minimization in area of losses & maximization in yields.
- · Initiate energy saving projects by evaluating process requirements & optimizing the energy usages. Involve in Solvent saving projects by evaluating process for area of losses & minimizing the losses & optimizing the recovery process.
- · Involve in new technology adoption by evaluating the gap between the new system & the existing system; proposal generation for new technology.
- · Work on effluent reduction by evaluating all process by mass balance of the reactants to find the composition of effluent; thus segregating them for proper treatment & working for less effluent from the source with R&D team.
- · Participate in the troubleshooting of different on-going problems of production.
