Overview: Assembler of school, activity, and commercial buses. 

Position Summary:

This position will play a pivotal role in the Continuous Improvements Team to bridges the gap between engineering design and operational execution, ensuring that manufacturing processes are efficient, safe, and continuously improving.

This position will report to the Engineering Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process & Resource Optimization: Analyzing labor resources and workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and recommending improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.

• Technical Support: Assist in the build, installation and revisions of parts and materials as well as troubleshooting issues.
• Data Analysis: Collecting and interpreting production data to monitor performance and predict potential problems and complete root cause analysis
• Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of line performance, part and process modifications
• Collaboration: Working closely with engineers, production associates & team leaders, and quality control teams to implement process efficiencies and improvements 
• Compliance and Safety: Ensuring processes adhere to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality standards

Education and/or Experience: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, an associate degree in process technology, engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Certification in automotive mechanical or electrical systems is a plus
• 2+ years of related experience and/or training preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in automotive repairs, production, assembly, or manufacturing necessary
• Ability to read and interpret prints, schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documents preferred
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail required
