Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech?  Vishay Dale Electronics – Columbus, NE is currently seeking applicants for a Process Engineer.  

Job Location: Vishay Dale Electronics, Columbus, NE is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of resistors and e-beam technology.  

Position Summary:  Engineering responsibility for assigned product families and production areas, modification of existing products, research of new materials and/or vendors, processes, or methods, and cost savings projects. Project control requires working and coordinating with other departments to attain results.

What you will be doing:

  • Independently performs the more complex engineering work and is responsible for success or failure of an individual engineering project, or group of projects, depending upon complexity and time required. Projects may include modification of existing products, or research of new materials, processes or methods.

  • Controls and has design, testing and engineering production responsibility or research responsibility over several product types. 

  • Performs and directs technicians in evaluation of materials, processes and design feasibility.

  • Assists Product Development Engineering as required in building prototype devices. 

  • Responsible for adequate documentation to provide product history etc., and any other pertinent information necessary for the design and production of all assigned products.

  • May be called upon to assist in solving of problems incurred with the device in production.

  • Assist marketing in preparation of technical data for customers, review customer drawings, address customer quality issues.

  • Ensures that products and equipment are designed, specifications are written and processes established with the thought in mind of reducing costs of manufacturing, but of not detrimentally affecting the quality of the product or the safety of the people.

What you will bring along:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineering

  • 1-2 years experience in process/manufacturing engineering

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Minitab, SQL) and lean manufacturing principles.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
