The role:

As a Process Engineer, you will help drive our goals by:

  • Promote high environmental, health and safety standards and behaviours for yourself and your co-workers

  • Maintain alignment with the PGMR departmental safety standards

  • Develop a technical understanding of the PGMR Refinery and the associated hydrometallurgical processes

  • Represent technical process engineering in the PGMR OEE task force, translating losses into prioritised technical actions to ensure plant outputs are optimised

  • Monitor and analyse key hydrometallurgical process data to support timely issue resolution

  • Provide process expertise to enable technical instructions, management of change reviews, process control assessments and hazard reviews

  • Carry out appropriate risk assessments (task-based/ergonomic risk, COSHH, Manual Handling, etc) for development work

Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering (or similar) based subject - Essential 

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering or Chemistry based subject or similar - Desirable 

  • Experience within process development or chemical plant - Essential

  • High level of numeracy, working with systems and data - Essential
