Job Summary

Summary:

The Process Engineer plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support in the development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing systems per project requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement manufacturing systems appropriate for customer applications.
  • Support manufacturing KPIs such as OEE, Yield, Scrap and Downtime
  • Establish and improve robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters
  • Capability to independently or together with other engineering stakeholders identify root causes of failures in the manufacturing process
  • Advanced troubleshooting of complex mechanical issues with high speed automated manufacturing equipment
  • Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required.
  • Understanding the manufacturing process, technologies, techniques, and the product
  • Support creation and implmenetation of engineering change orders (ECOs).
  • Develop, implement, and take ownership of process control methodologies.
  • Participate in activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.
  • Implement statistical process analysis on new and existing products.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation.
  • Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel
  • Define, Implement, and evaluate proposed design updates and processes.
  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods.
  • Create work instructions and coordinate training for facilities and production personnel
  • Coordinate/participate in pFMEA of manufacturing processes
  • Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.                                                                                           

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a medical manufacturing or other highly regulated manufacturing  environment
  • Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering experience working in high-volume assembly processes
  • Travel required – 10%
