Solaris Biotechnology, a Donaldson brand under Life Science & Special Application that Designs and Manufactures Bioprocessing equipment, including Bioreactors, Fermenters, and Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) systems for R&D and production purposes.
We engage in providing high-tech bioprocess solutions, our products are used in Universities, Research Centers, as well as in Biotech, Pharma, Food and Beverage, Nutraceutical, Cosmeceutical, Chemical, Agricultural industries, and, not to mention bioplastics and biofuels applications.
We are currently looking for an experienced Process Engineer.
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, proactive problem solver to work with a diverse global team building innovative new solutions and providing support to our sales teams and customers.
The position will be based in Porto Mantovano (MN).
Role Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative bioreactors, fermenters and downstream bioprocessing equipment for Biotech, Pharma and Food and Beverage industry.
- Apply industry and engineering knowledge to innovate and solve complex customer challenges and create competitive advantage.
- Developing technical documentation such as: layouts, PFD’s, P&ID’s, mass and energy balances, URS and/or technical specifications, fluid list and consumption.
- Capability of hydraulic sizing of lines and main process equipment (pumps, heat exchangers, agitation groups, valves, etc..).
- Carry out engineering design according to cGMP, pharmaceutical technical regulation and local regulations.
- Commissioning and final testing at manufacturing and customer site.
Travel: Up to 10%
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in chemical/process/pharmaceutical engineering.
- +3 years’ experience as Engineer in a bioprocessing, food and beverage or pharma industry.
- Language: English B1
Preferred Qualifications:
- Engineering: Pilot plant design, Open/Closed Loop, Fluid technologies knowledge (Pumping & regulation, temperature transfer & regulation, etc.), Instruments technologies knowledge: (electromagnetic, massic, etc.), P&ID, Autocad 2D, Generating bill of material, Detailed functional analysis, plant commissioning, QI/QO/QP
- Strong presentation skills
- Language skills: Italian and English
