Process Engineer

Description - External

Nuclear Projects and Consulting is seeking an experienced chemical engineer resource to fill a Process Engineering opening in Oak Ridge, TN. The Process Engineer will be part of a team of engineers in the design phase of projects. Additionally, you will perform and formally document Process Engineering calculations.

Qualifications - External

• 7 or more years of experience

• Must be a U.S. Citizen

• Degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.

• Licensed Professional Chemical Engineer with ability to obtain licensure in TN

• Process Equipment specifications

• Experience in Project Engineering and Nuclear Engineering

Preferred Experience Includes

•  Nuclear material processing

• Q clearance or eligibility to obtain a “Q”

• Uranium processing experience

• Prefer someone already residing near the Oak Ridge, TN area

• Experience managing the work of other engineers and/or designers

• MS in Engineering from ABET-accredited college or university.

Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. Occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity. We help prepare people for new opportunities and challenges.
