Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Work in high-volume, high cavitation plastic injection molding.
- Develop a robust and repeatable decoupled 2, decoupled 2.5 molding process window based on scientific process engineering principles. Develop decoupled 1 and 3 processes.
- Create, execute and analyze full factorial and partial factorial Designs of Experiments to identify root cause problems with an injection mold and or process.
- Utilize statistical analysis to determine process capability for new and existing medical molds.
- Utilize statistical analysis on new and existing medical molds for root cause analysis and troubleshooting solutions.
- Support the production team ramp-up phase for new molded products and train appropriate production personnel as required.
- Perform root cause analysis strategies and corrective action implementation.
- Create Process Information Books documenting the sampling activities, validation activities, mold setup, mold removal, instructions for auxiliary equipment, troubleshooting guide and the validated process for an injection mold(s).
- Track process performance metrics and manage ramp-up action plan to achieve operational performance targets.
- Manage multiple programs with continuous collaboration with the project teams.
- Investigate and benchmark new tooling, peripherals, and molding technologies.
- Contribute to the development of specifications for the procurement of new injection molding machines and auxiliaries.
- Perform the initial set-up and establish the standards for injection molding systems.
- Implement safety, productivity, and improvements to manufacturing processes.
- Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house productivity capabilities.
- Use lean and continuous improvement practices.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3 years of experience in job offered or 3 years of experience in the Related Occupation
RELATED OCCUPATION:
Industrial Engineer or any other job title performing all listed job duties.
