We are looking for our new Technical Operations Process Engineer Appetizers CE (Continental Europe) M/F/X. Within the Technical Operations organization, center of excellence for Manufacturing, you will be responsible for executing the CE Technical Operations strategy to drive and sustain manufacturing optimization (within safety, quality, and cost) to support growth and transform the operations to be future ready, while managing to develop technical expertise and leadership.
This is a CE role, and your main office will be in Rilland, the Netherlands. Frequent travelling (up to 30%) to our different sites within France, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium, and other locations within Europe and globally are required. You will report to the Director Technical Operations CE.
Key responsibilities :
Manufacturing Technology

  • Contribute to developing or improving technologies (both equipment and processes).
  • Leverage Capex for Safety, Cost reduction and Quality improvement (incl. identify opportunities, validate savings, Start Up Management (SUM) support through implementation, to feedback post-implementation).


Manufacturing Capability, Performance Management and Sustainment

  • Lead or support end-to-end execution of technical projects to improve factory performance (Safety, Quality and Cost).
  • Leverage tools for optimizing factory performance: Operating Best Practices, Process control.
  • Realize Line Diagnostic, Equipment Capability Check (ECC), Best Operating Practices (BOP) assessments to monitor factory performance.
  • Actively engage in continuous skill development, leveraging training opportunities for enhanced technical expertise.


Interface to Supply chain, Innovation and R&D

  • Support Plant scale testing for New Products Development.
  • Lead product transfer/contingency plants to plants when recipe is not impacted.
  • Provide technical support on process standard/instructions/parameters on plant for production.


Team Management & Technical Expertise Development:

  • You will lead the technical operations project team with precision and adherence to process standards .
  • You actively engage in continuous skill development, leveraging training opportunities for enhanced technical expertise .
  • You actively deployed technical training documents to rebuild manufacturing capabilities.


Execution of Strategy and Priorities:

  • You execute operational tasks in alignment with the strategic direction .
  • You implement operational initiatives according to set priorities, ensuring timely and efficient project delivery .


Project Management:

  • You manage the end-to-end execution of technical projects within established timelines and budgets.
  • You coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery to success outcomes .


Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement:

  • You proactively identify and address operational challenges within the technical operations scope.
  • You implement solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve performance .


Best Practices Adherence:

  • You ensure strict adherence and sustain standards for operational excellence, quality and safety.
  • You continuously evaluate (BOP audit, line diagnostic, ECC) to align with McCain standards.


Qualifications:

  • You have a background in Engineering, Production, Food science and experience in one or more of the following domains for at least three years: Manufacturing, Continuous improvement, R&D, Process Technology, Data Analytics, Data Integration, Programing, and/or packaging.
  • You have a strong technical aptitude; this could be as a mechanical or electrical engineering, and/or plant/automation and processing line equipment and processes.
  • You have a proven track record in project management and presentation.
  • You work autonomously, are agile with a strong sense of ownership, take data-driven decisions with strong problem-solving skills.
  • You have the necessary skills and/or knowledge of how to train people.
  • Thanks to your strong computer skills and statistical analysis, you will make this job a success.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization. You are fluent in English and Dutch or French.
