Job Title

Process EngineerThe Process Engineer is responsible for collaborating with engineering, manufacturing and other staff within a plant to understand and increase manufacturing capabilities, increase yields, improve process flow, increase productivity and maximize work force utilization.
Emphasis on Lean Six Sigma (Lean, Theory of Constraints, TQM, SPC, TPM, 6S, Kaizen)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Involved in problem solving activities for complex issues that involve the given process and associated equipment.
  • Aids in technology transfers to meet production requirements.
  • Demonstrate ability to execute on mid-size projects. Documentation, training and guiding plant engineering and manufacturing team members.
  • Collaborates with location manufacturing management to deliver yield and process improvements at their location.
  • Install, maintain, analyze and improve various types of equipment, including electronic and mechanical equipment to improve efficiency and utilization of resources.
  • Utilizes Structured Problem Solving (SPS) and Process Control System (PCS) methodologies to resolve complex issues and reduce future variation
  • Actively develops expertise in Lean Six Sigma and process methodologies through hands-on training, practical application in projects, and guidance from project leaders or senior-level colleagues.
  • Software knowledge: MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Minitab are required. Access, AutoCAD, AutoDesk Inventor and MasterCAM are a plus
  • Must maintain high safety requirements including meeting local consensus safety standards.
  • Performs detail-oriented analysis utilizing very high math skills and very effective communication skills.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related engineering discipline

Experience:

  • 2-5 Years
  • Ceramics, Materials Science, or Mechanical engineering background preferred

  • Six Sigma experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of GD&T preferred.
  • Adhere to quality management system (QMS).
