The Process Engineer II is responsible for providing technical support and engineering solutions that improve plant and pipeline performance, optimize throughput, and reduce operating constraints. This role partners with Operations to analyze system bottlenecks, identify value-enhancing projects, and lead the planning and execution of small to mid-sized capital initiatives. The Process Engineer II also supports Commercial and Business Development teams by performing technical assessments and due diligence for new projects and acquisitions, contributing engineering input through all project phases.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Work directly with operations, control room, and field teams to investigate operational issues and recommend technically sound solutions.
- Identify and develop system optimization and cost-saving initiatives in coordination with Operations.
- Lead the design and cost estimation of moderate-scope capital and maintenance projects.
- Oversee field implementation of assigned projects, including equipment installation and commissioning.
- Manage third-party engineering deliverables for assigned projects and verify alignment with Harvest’s standards.
- Solicit and evaluate equipment bids and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
- Serve as a technical resource and participate in field audits, troubleshooting, and incident response efforts.
- Collaborate on due diligence efforts, including field visits and evaluation of operational performance.
- Present project updates and technical insights during field and engineering team meetings.
- Ensure adherence to applicable codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all designs and recommendations.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant oil and gas/process engineering experience.
- Working knowledge of process simulation software and basic hydraulic modeling tools.
- Experience supporting field operations, troubleshooting systems, and evaluating runtime/throughput.
- Proficient in developing or reviewing PFDs, P&IDs, and preliminary design deliverables.
- Exposure to process equipment sizing and familiarity with data sheet development.
- Ability to support cost estimating, budgeting, and scheduling tasks for small to mid-sized projects.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and contributing to project execution.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% as needed.
Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
- Required: Bachelor of Science in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university
- Professional Engineers license, preferred.
