Support and supervise all in-house manufacturing activities to enable faster new product development and enhance the productivity of existing parts. This role provides opportunities to introduce and implement best manufacturing practices, creating value for both self and the organization. Additionally, empowered to represent the company with customers in domestic and international markets and make strategic decisions to drive execution.
Ø Engineering Interpretation & Analysis – Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, and customer specifications to assess manufacturability and feasibility based on available precision machining capabilities. Perform tolerance stack-ups, capability studies, cycle time analysis, and risk assessments to ensure process robustness.
Ø CAD Proficiency – Demonstrate hands-on experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX, and optionally AutoCAD for process design, fixture modelling, stage drawings, and manufacturing documentation development.
Ø Process Documentation – Develop stage/process drawings, process flow charts, setup sheets, and work instructions for New Product Development (NPD), while identifying opportunities to standardize or improve machining processes.
Ø Engineering Analysis – Perform tolerance stack-ups, GD&T interpretation, capability studies, cycle time analysis, and risk assessments to ensure process robustness.
Ø RFQ & NPD Support – Support RFQ activities by estimating cycle times, tooling requirements, cost drivers, and key process parameters; conduct NPD review sessions and prepare documentation for initial production runs.
Ø ERP & Standardization – Create and standardize manufacturing routings and related process documentation within the ERP system.
Ø Quality & Compliance – Apply knowledge of quality inspection gauges/instruments and maintain adherence to precision measurement and process control standards. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards, including AS9100 and ISO 9001 (QMS).
Ø Material & Tooling Knowledge -Apply expertise in machining tools, cutting tool selection, engineering materials, and secondary operations/finishing processes such as heat treatment, coating, plating, anodizing, grinding, and surface treatments.
Ø Cross-Functional Coordination – Collaborate effectively with design, quality, production, supply chain, and maintenance teams to meet technical and delivery requirements.
Ø Continuous Improvement – Drive initiatives focused on yield improvement, cost reduction, cycle time optimization, and waste elimination.
Ø Process Architecture – Contribute to the development and documentation of robust manufacturing process architectures, including process flow diagrams, PFMEA, control plans, and work instructions.
Ø Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Apply strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to resolve process and production challenges.

Education and experience
Ø Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in mechanical stream / GTTC / NTTF with 2 – 4 years of experience in manufacturing industry.
Ø Proficiency in design software such as SolidWorks, Siemens NX, and AutoCAD to create, modify, and convert 3D models into detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and vice versa.
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in mechanical stream / GTTC / NTTF with 2-4 years of manufacturing industry experience
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Siemens NX, and AutoCAD for CAD modeling and 2D/3D manufacturing drawings
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, perform tolerance stack-ups, capability studies, cycle time analysis, and risk assessments
- Experience developing process documentation: stage/process drawings, flow charts, setup sheets, work instructions, and ERP routings
- Knowledge of quality and compliance standards, specifically AS9100 and ISO 9001 (QMS)
- Practical knowledge of machining tools, cutting tool selection, engineering materials, and secondary operations (heat treatment, coating, plating, anodizing, grinding)
- Experience supporting RFQ and NPD: estimating cycle times, tooling, cost drivers, and preparing initial production documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills
