Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the manufacturing process for precision aerospace components, with direct impact on producibility, process capability, and shop performance.
  • Apply experience with CAM software, including NX and TeamCenter, to develop, improve, and scale machining processes in a production environment.
  • Utilize CNC programming knowledge to support efficient, repeatable machining methods for aerospace hardware.
  • Lead or support tool selection and fixture design to improve manufacturability, reduce variation, and enable stable production performance.
  • Develop clear, visual work instructions and support machine SOPs to help operators execute processes safely, consistently, and efficiently.
  • Define and control production processes including tooling and equipment, and validate design specifications and shop floor implementation of new products, tools, and equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Use FLIGHT DECK principles such as standard work, problem solving, and daily management to identify opportunities, solve manufacturing challenges, and sustain performance improvements. This FLIGHT DECK emphasis is an enhancement aligned to your request.
  • Build technical expertise in advanced machining and manufacturing engineering, while gaining exposure to broader business drivers and cross-functional operations. Based on source language regarding broadening knowledge and understanding business drivers.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing experience)
