Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Lead or perform Design of Experiments (DOE) for machine validation and setup.
  • Assess processes, take measurements, and interpret data.
  • Design, execute, test, and improve systems and processes.
  • Perform process simulations.
  • Investigate day-to-day manufacturing issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Apply DOE methodologies to solve complex process problems and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including FMEA, QCFC, work instructions (WI), checklists, 8D reports, DFM, and other related documents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Coach and support cross-functional teams, including Product Engineering and Product Line Management, to validate requirements and ensure process and technology milestones are achieved.
  • Develop best practices, standardized procedures, and innovative solutions to improve production efficiency, yield, and product quality.
  • Manage project timelines and cost constraints effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, quality assurance processes, and industry best practices.
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate team members to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related scientific field; a degree in Mechanical Engineering is an advantage.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a fast-paced electronics manufacturing environment, preferably in the semiconductor or optoelectronics industry.
  • Hands-on experience with soldering and fiber handling.
  • Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Proactive and creative mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team and interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to participate in meetings across multiple time zones and travel overseas occasionally.
  • Experience in conceptualizing and designing tooling is an advantage.
