Job Description

  • Process implementation, control and improvement.
  • Creation, maintenance and improvement of programs / sub programs, algorithms for equipment such as; SMT surface mount technology placement, Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) processes, X-ray, solder processes reflow & selective soldering profiles, de-panelling processes (Routing), coating applications (Selective), and testing processes based on test specifications.
  • Assist production to ensure efficient running of machines and processes at proven cycle times.
  • Implementing and improving quality standards.
  • Reduction of costs related to production and product.
  • Ensure equipment maintains acceptable health and safety standards, through monitoring MAE Safety and Risk Assessments / Releases.
  • Ensure equipment availability factor improvement is conducted to reduce breakdowns.
  • Machine and Equipment releases and relevant information control.
  • Machine and equipment optimisation (VT ratio improvements, line reject & claims reduction, improvements).
  • Supporting Bosch Production System (BPS) methods with leveling, total productive maintenance, corrective maintenance, preventative maintenance, calibration, 5S, consumption control, poka yoke, lean line design, flow orientated-layouts, quick change overs, shopfloor management cycles.
  • Interdepartmental collaboration.
  • Project support, suggestion scheme, new projects implementation, support production planning such as leveling & production results, special assignments, active participation in continuous improvement program.
  • Standby if required based on shift pattern.
  • Knowledge sharing and participation in competence / development programs.
  • Budget expenditure planning, based on current and planned equipment, tooling, fixtures, gauges, process accessories.
  • Role in purchasing of machines, equipment, tools and production support accessories based on requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree or B.Tech in Engineering.
