Process Engineer-Measurements

Norcross, GA

 

Contribute towards on time delivery and cost control in measurements operation through focus on improving testing efficiency, testing accuracy, product flow, process improvement, quality, and training. 

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

BS in Engineering

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Experience and understanding of manufacturing process improvement

 

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

 

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Preferred qualifications)

3+ years of manufacturing experience

Six Sigma Green Belt

BS in Industrial Engineering

 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct and update time studies to modernize operator testing credit and ensure standards reflect current equipment and workflows.
  • Analyze measurement and production data (SQL, Power BI, etc.) to identify trends, improve testing performance, and guide operational decisions.
  • Proactively learn measurement processes by engaging directly with operators and engineers, asking questions, and investigating process gaps.
  • Support daily measurement operations through troubleshooting, product flow coordination, and participation in technical discussions.
  • Lead and participate in cross‑functional improvement projects aimed at enhancing measurement system performance and eliminating chronic losses.
  • Drive technical improvements, equipment upgrades, and ensure operational readiness for all projects impacting testing or workflow.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

 

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work with measurement and production data.
  • Intellectual curiosity and initiative — asks questions, seeks out missing information, and actively learns complex processes.
  • Proficiency with databases (SQL or similar) and ability to build insights using Power BI or comparable tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong attention to detail when examining test data, measurement accuracy, and standard work.
  • Hands‑on working style, comfortable spending significant time on the floor observing processes and workflows.
  • Experience in manufacturing, testing operations, or measurement‑related environments preferred.
