In this position, you can expand your technical and economic competencies and make a direct contribution to Covestro's innovation pipeline. In addition to our diverse benefits, a full-time position offers an attractive starting salary between €77,600/year and €93,900/year plus a variable component. The starting compensation depends on your qualifications and professional experience.
These diverse tasks await you:You'll contribute to the development and evaluation of innovative process concepts in early project phases, even when limited data is available
In concept studies, you'll create process simulations and energy/mass balances for plant design
With your analytical thinking, you'll develop techno-economic assessments, estimate production costs, and derive meaningful sensitivity analyses
You'll conduct market and competitive analyses for new products and benchmark technologies
You'll contribute your ideas to the development of compelling business cases for innovative products and processes
You'll work in interdisciplinary teams on projects across various Covestro business areas, gaining different perspectives
Through your work on sustainable future technologies, you'll actively contribute to achieving Covestro's sustainability goals
You have completed a Master's degree or PhD in (Bio)Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Technical Chemistry, Biotechnology, Industrial Engineering (with focus on Chemistry, Process Engineering), or a comparable field
You already have solid knowledge of process simulation tools such as AVEVA SimCentral or AspenPlus
Ideally, you also have initial experience with techno-economic analyses
You're interested in both process engineering and economic issues
You find it easy to develop reliable concepts through well-founded assumptions, even with limited data
With your analytical thinking, you master the uncertainties in early project phases
Your good communication and presentation skills, as well as your team-oriented work approach, round off your profile
Good German and English skills are part of your repertoire
