The Role

High Level Mission Statement
It is the mission of the Industrial Engineer, the implementation, control
and support of manufacturing systems, processes and practices used
in KEMX, to drive improvements in the Quality and operational Cost
of our products to meet our customer expectations in terms of Quality,
Cost and Delivery.

High Level Statement of the Role
The Industrial Engineer is mainly responsible to ensure the availability
of the installed manufacturing capacity, the equipment utilization in the
whole plant. Control and optimization of the shop layout and labor
headcount requirements. The Industrial engineer is responsible to
support the continuous improvement of the following metrics and
report status and progress as required:

  • Labor Efficiency (Quote = Actual = SAP)
  • Lines and Equipment capacity utilization
  • Direct Labor headcount definition
  • KEMX Plant Layout
  • Kaizen program.
     

High Level Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support Line Balances, work load of processes.
  • Labor headcount analysis, report progress on periodical
  • basis, as required.
  • Provide updated rates during the NPI process.
  • Lead periodic review of the Routing in SAP for management
  • approval for his/her products.
  • Lead installed capacity analysis on a periodical basis, and
  • lead proper action plans as required.
  • Plant Layout changes process owner.
  • Support Safety risk analysis as required.
  • Insurance that all Quality procedures related to the IE area
  • are followed and Corrective actions are properly addressed,
  • consistently with timing expectations.
  • Support Cost Reduction projects as required.
  • Support to the operational team working on continuous
  • improvement projects, using Lean Manufacturing/Kaizen
  • techniques.
  • Support the Environmental Mgmt. system.
  • Support to the process engineer to meet the operational
  • metrics in their areas
  • Support during ergonomic design of new lines / process.
  • Maintain Rates updated (file available and RATES
  • application updated)

  • Industrial Ergonomic Knowledge
