Johnson & Johnson MedTech, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is currently recruiting for a Process Engineer II to join the Ethicon Georgia Campus Technical Operations team in Cornelia, GA.
The Process Engineer II is responsible for supporting and improving manufacturing processes to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This role serves as a technical resource within assigned manufacturing areas, partnering with Operations, Maintenance, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to optimize process performance, resolve technical challenges, and support implementation of process improvements and new technologies.

Key Responsibilities:
- Functioning as the primary engineering owner for assigned manufacturing processes, serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned process technology.
- Leading projects to innovate process technology, improve reliability, or increase capacity
- Providing written and oral reports on process performance
- Collaborating with Manufacturing Operations and Maintenance to resolve technical issues
- Investigating and leading corrective actions for product and process nonconformances
- Acting as a safety champion by training personnel and investigating safety incidents
- Managing continuous improvement initiatives in your assigned area
- Leading or supporting the implementation of new processes and process modifications
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements
Qualifications:
Education:
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and/or University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline
Required:.
- Minimum of 1 year of engineering experience in a manufacturing, operations, co-op, internship, or other technical environment, or an Advanced Degree with relevant manufacturing experience.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting manufacturing processes, equipment, or continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with process validation, equipment qualification, statistical analysis, and root cause investigation methodologies.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles.
- Experience working in a regulated industry such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated project management or technical leadership experience.
