The Process Engineer uses engineering principles and techniques to maintain and improve the plant manufacturing process. The Process Engineer is focused on continuous improvement in process quality and cost.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops & executes continuous improvement plans for the manufacturing process.
  • Provides technical process support to the operations and maintenance groups including problem solving & troubleshooting.
  • Identifies & implements process controls.
  • Maintains product standards and leads continuous improvement process to improve yield & performance.
  • Investigates, develops, & implements manufacturing technologies including managing capital projects.
  • Develops & maintains Standard Operating Procedures and other process documentation.
  • Develops & maintains operator training documentation and assists in the training effort.
  • Interacts with customers & suppliers as the key process technical resource.
  • Actively participate in plant EHS process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support efficient business operations.
  • Maintains an awareness of safe work practices and prevents conditions that may result in an unsafe situation or harm the environment.  No operation or task will be conducted unless it can be performed in a safe manner.

Education / Experience

  • BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Metallurgical, Industrial or related)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
