Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Vista, CA

Develop new or modified process formulations, define processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications, and review processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture, fabrication, and evaluation of products. Work on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors with the use of statistical tools. Coordinate design requirement review with appropriate engineering/scientific personnel to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Compile and evaluate test data to determine appropriate limits and variables for process or material specifications. Conceive and plan projects involving definition and selection of new concepts, define and develop equipment automation technology, and approaches in the processing or development of new or improved processes. Work closely with R&D to ensure the manufacturability of new products to be manufactured on site. 25% domestic and international travel required.

Reqts: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field, and 3 years of experience in the position offered or related, including 3 years of experience with: utilizing Project Management tools, including Gantt Charts and Microsoft Project for the planning and tracking of projects related to the introduction of new products and processes; utilizing Lean Manufacturing tools, including Value Stream Mapping, PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Act), Kaizen, Kanban to improve production processes; performing deployment, update and maintenance of process control documentation, including Procedures, Work Instructions, Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, Device Master Record, and Master Validation Plan; utilizing Statistical tools, including Pareto Diagrams, to measure KPI’s and track their progress, and DOE (Design of Experiments) and ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) to improve them; advanced use of CAD software (Solidworks, AutoCAD) to design fixtures and equipment for the manufacturing process; and performing manufacturing site evaluation for Capital Expenditure projects. Salary: $111,966/year
