As a Process Documentation Lead with Banner Bank you will contribute to a development group focused on being Connected, Knowledgeable, and Responsive to the bank's operational needs. The ideal candidate to join the documentation team is a self-starter with a passion for identifying and implementing process improvements. Utilizing advanced writing skills and ability to adapt or build solutions that will meet business needs, this person will be given increasing project involvement roles with deliverables and complex timelines. They may also serve as a leader, mentor, or peer review of documentation or communications within the team to ensure high quality results. This person will also be an active participant and contributor to overall team strategy, plans, and deliverables to ensure the complicated deliverables and timelines are met, quality materials are continually maintained, and that active documentation meets the needs of the organization are being improved over time.
In this role you'll have the opportunity to:
- Manage professional resource documents such as procedures, reference guide, or tools used by the organization for operational needs. Organize various tasks related to document management, internal communication, and project deliverables within targeted timelines to thrive in a progressive business strategy in an evolving industry.
- Partner with various operational teams and/or vendors to collaborate, discuss, conceptualize, and implement process improvements using the integrated system solutions which includes actively researching and troubleshooting complex operational issues and offering recommendations to management.
- Facilitate department functions through various projects or strategic meetings and teams as a liaison for documentation and communication needs while building lasting business partnerships. Partner with the bank’s key leaders and project teams to drive change, integrations, respond to tactical issues, and other business process solutions by delivering expertise, recommendations, and action.
- Create and coordinate training materials for end users and other introductory or transitional support through documentation, communication, and resources. Create and distribute internal communications at a rapid pace for a variety of banking topics and organizational needs. Create complex solutions including SharePoint sites, new documents or tools, and other resources to meet various business requirements.
- Manage the coordination of change control practices for all documentation, including version, archives, approvals, and audits. Pro-actively research and remain current on industry and regulatory changes to ensure bank procedure and practices remain compliant. Ensure ongoing compliance within systems, industry, regulatory needs.
- Learn and assist with cross-departmental tasks such as automation concepts and validation, project involvement, resource availability for implementation and other developmental support.
- Lead and coordinate project or project-like activities including tracking all milestones, issues, and timeline requirements.
- Coordinate and monitor incoming questions, suggestion, feedback, and requests to determine when and where changes may be needed in bank documents, communications, or escalated as needed while assessing complexity and appropriate risk management controls or regulatory requirements.
Education & Certifications
- Associate's degree: Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, Computer Science or other related field required (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
Experience
- 4 or more years of progressive experience in banking operations including leadership roles and involvement in development or organizational improvement projects required
- 2 or more years of experience in a supervisory/management role leading a project, process or team required
- Experience with Lending, Technical Writing and SharePoint knowledge highly preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Advanced technical writing experience with the ability to follow style guides, consistent language, and professional templates.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills including SharePoint development, tracked changes, document protection, etc.
- Proven verbal and written communication, problem solving, and analytical skills including the ability to combine technical expertise with both technical and layman communication skills.
- Ability to lead effectively both independently and in a team environment while handling simultaneous tasks of high complexity. Ability to manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations related to Banking Operations and Information Technology is required.
- Expertise and confidence to present to or lead business discussions for procedures, timeline, business requirements, and development feedback to all business partners.

- Targeted starting salary range (based on experience): $77,606 - $102,258
