As a member of a cross functional team, you lead RDQ activities required to complete process design and process deployment for innovation, growth and cost optimization projects across multiple geographies with an emphasis on delivering the desired consumer experience.
How you will contribute
Working independently, you will lead technical work across multiple projects aligned with RDQ, marketing and manufacturing requirements, effectively communicating status and risks. You will also lead activities designed to generate appropriate process information using modelling and simulation, and pilot plant scale up and factory trials in accordance with good manufacturing practice and HACCP requirements. You will be involved with/lead process design and specifications, process scale-up and commissioning and will ensure the effective use of resources, including the use of external agencies. This position requires you to manage stakeholders and to influence decisions based on data analysis and interpretation of results; create and maintain accurate consumer centric process specifications; leverage connections to internal and external technical communities, and; create intellectual property that gives Mondelēz International a competitive advantage.

What you need to know about this position:
You will be helping to build the future of snacking working on our brands for the North America Region.
The developer's task is to be 100% part of the R&D operation. He/she must be reviewing the manufacturing process of the product, how they are being made. He is also in charge of trials for new flavors, new projects and innovations.
Job specific requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of R&D experience
  • Experience in cosumer goods (nice to have)
  • Experience in the food industry (nice to have)
  • Advanced english level
  • cakes & pastries experience (Nice to have)
  • intermediate statistic knowledge


What extra ingredients you will bring:

  • An understanding of process capabilities, scale up, CAPEX, leveraging modeling and simulation, Design of Experiments, biscuit unit operations and technology, etc.
  • Minimum of 7 yrs. experience, within Research & Development or Manufacturing. CPG or Food Industry preferred.
  • Strong technical foundation and technical curiosity.
  • Ability to develop and drive technical projects with proper scientific rigor: conduct appropriate testing, gather and analyze data, and develop recommendations based on findings.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and manage complexity- from bench top to commercialization.
  • Write process specifications that deliver consistent, high-quality products across numerous manufacturing facilities.


Work schedule: Hybrid in both plants (Monterrey & Salinas)
