We are seeking a Process Development Engineer to design, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes improvements that enhance Safety, Total Quality, Efficiency, and Cost. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your technical expertise, collaborative approach, and problem-solving skills will be essential in transforming innovative ideas into positive results.

What you’ll do: 

  • Safety Promotion: Support and ensure adherence to safety principles, conducting job hazard analyses and safety walks.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure consistent production that meets specifications through established procedures and IT tools.

  • Product Evaluation: Collaborate with Research and Product Development to evaluate and qualify new products and transitions.

  • Manufacturing Oversight: Manage manufacturing operations, including chemical raw materials and reclamation processes.

  • Customer Relations: Address customer claims with corrective action plans documented through the CAPA system, and engage with customers and suppliers to resolve issues.

  • Process Development: Coordinate machinery maintenance with the maintenance team and implement working procedures in coating and cleaning processes.

  • Vendor Management: Assess raw material quality and resolve issues with suppliers.

  • Documentation and Analysis: Maintain and analyze documentation related to processes and performance to identify best practices.

  • Lean Six Sigma Leadership: Lead and support Lean Six Sigma projects within the Coating Department.

  • Trial Management: Oversee product and process trials, including planning, execution, analysis, and adjustments.

  • Compliance: Perform all duties in accordance with laws, safety, environmental regulations, and company policies.


Who you are

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Technical Expertise: Proficient in process design, optimization, and scale-up

  • Industry Experience: Extensive experience in manufacturing, focusing on improving efficiency and product quality.

  • Project Management: Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.

  • Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to process improvement and troubleshooting.

  • Communication: Effective communicator with experience presenting complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement: Committed to implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to drive process enhancements and operational excellence.

  • Collaboration: Strong team player with a proactive approach to collaborating with R&D, quality assurance, and production teams.

  • Innovation: Passionate about developing innovative solutions and staying current with industry trends and technologies.
