We are now looking for a Process Development Engineer to join our dynamic TFS-series team within the Research Tools product line. If you have a passion for ALD, thrive in experimental environments, and enjoy working directly with advanced research customers, we’d love to hear from you.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Process Development Engineer, your mission is to design and execute world-class ALD process development to meet the demanding requirements of our research customers.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and optimizing new or existing ALD processes in a clean room environment.

  • Conducting in-depth process development and optimization activities to demonstrate the value of our ALD tools and services.

  • Scheduling and managing process development projects in line with customer timelines.

  • Maintaining thorough documentation, including process parameters, measurements, and conclusions.

  • Acting as the primary technical contact for customers and building strong, trust-based relationships.

  • Collaborating closely with product team to drive continuous improvement of our products and ALD process related services.

  • Continuously improving development methodologies and internal practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field.

  • Deep understanding of ALD, thin film deposition, or a related application field.

  • Hands-on experience in process development and statistical analysis (including Design of Experiments and related simulations).

  • Understanding of process hardware and capability to troubleshoot and fix it.

  • Familiarity with thin film characterization and measurement techniques.

  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in technical and scientific contexts.

  • Analytical and structured problem solver with a passion for experiments.

  • Customer-focused mindset with excellent collaboration skills.

  • Clear and confident communicator, both with technical experts and stakeholders.

  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and eager to innovate.

Skills Required

  • MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field
  • Deep understanding of ALD and thin film deposition
  • Hands-on experience in process development and statistical analysis, including Design of Experiments
  • Understanding of process hardware and ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
