Position Summary
The Process Analyst Intern for Technical Services will support the evaluation, documentation, and improvement of operational workflows. This role is ideal for a student or early‑career candidate interested in process improvement, analytics, operations management, or technical service environments. Working under the guidance of Technical Services leadership, the intern will assist with data analysis, process mapping, and continuous improvement initiatives that help enhance productivity and operational consistency.

Let's Talk About Responsibilities:
As a Process Analyst Intern, you will work directly with talented individuals of all levels. With guidance from a departmental leader, you will work on process improvement.
The right candidate for our internship will be expected to know commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the continuous improvement process and rely on mentorship, instructions, and pre-established guidelines to perform the job's functions.
Process Support & Documentation
- Assist in reviewing and documenting existing Technical Services processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Support the creation of process maps, workflow diagrams, and training materials.
- Participate in job‑shadowing sessions with technicians and Team Leads to learn how operations function day‑to‑day.
Data Collection & Analysis
- Gather and organize operational data such as productivity metrics, turnaround times, or workflow delays.
- Support the creation of simple reports, charts, and summaries to help leadership identify trends or improvement opportunities.
- Help maintain process trackers or dashboards used by the Technical Services team.
Continuous Improvement Activities
- Assist with small process‑improvement initiatives and contribute ideas during team brainstorming or Kaizen‑style sessions.
- Conduct basic root‑cause analysis to help identify bottlenecks or recurring issues.
- Support implementation of workflow improvements under supervision.
Operational & Cross‑Functional Exposure
- Partner with technicians, supervisors, and analysts to understand key operational challenges.
- Collaborate with teams such as Supply Chain, Quality, or Engineering when projects involve cross‑department interaction.
- Support documentation needs for new tools, systems, or process changes.
This is preferred to be a hybrid role located at our ResMed headquarters in Lithia Springs, GA. Candidates will be asked to be available to participate in on-site/remote team meetings.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during Summer 2025; program dates are May 18th – August 7th, 2026, OR June 15th – September 4th, 2026
- Academic studies that will lead to a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Data Analytics or any related field
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong experiences as demonstrated through projects, research or data analytics internships
- Great interpersonal relations, team cooperation and communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and collaboration skills as demonstrated through leadership positions on teams and/or in student or civic organizations
- Exceptional communication skills and interest and enthusiasm related to medical technology industry and a career with ResMed
- Familiarity with process mapping tools (Visio, Lucid chart, Miro) is a plus.
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement concepts (coursework or online training acceptable).
- Interest in technical service environments, manufacturing, or medical devices.

Individual pay decisions will be made by our staffing provider partner and are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
Pay Range for this position: $23.25 - $42.75/hour, depending on experience & job classification
