LOCATION: Manchester, NH 
HOURS:  Part Time,1-4 shifts per month, Hourly (Non-Exempt)

POSITION PURPOSE:
Provision of high quality, safe, efficient, equitable, evidence-based, patient-centered clinical services at PPNNE with a focus on the provision of procedural abortion care.

YOUR DAY- TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Available to provide procedural abortion PPNNE Health Centers 1-4 times per month based on community need.
  • Responsible for the provision of procedural abortions at designated clinics as part of a collaborative team.
  • Commitment to providing care per PPNNE Medical Standards and Guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Documentation and preparation of accurate and complete medical records in such form and manner as PPNNE may reasonably require.
  • An approach to sexual and reproductive health care that is consistent with Planned Parenthood’s philosophy, service standards and the fundamental concepts of reproductive justice.
  • An enthusiasm and willingness to train and mentor medical residents and advanced practice clinicians to perform procedural abortions.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to recognizing and mitigating unconscious bias in the provision of sexual and reproductive health care.
  • Collaboration with PPNNE Medical Director and/or other licensed clinicians related to continuity of care agreements for PPNNE patients, when indicated.
  • Responsible for adhering to all state-mandated reporting requirements related to health care services provided at PPNNE.
  • Thorough knowledge of procedural abortion complications and ability to successfully lead a team during and after clinical emergencies.

COMPENSATION:

  • $1,400 full day shift (8 hours)
  • $700 half day shift (4 hours)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Current licensure as a Physician (MD, DO) or Advanced Practice Clinician (NP, PA, CNM) with applicable state license, with training in procedural abortion skills and experience in sexual and reproductive health.
  • Procedural abortion training and maintenance of skills to perform Dilation and Evacuation procedures in the outpatient setting to at least 18 weeks gestational age (beyond 18 weeks preferred).
  • Experience working with people from diverse racial, ethnic, linguistic, socioeconomic, and cultural communities, as well as a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and the intersection with health and social justice.
  • Broad-based clinical knowledge and skills in sexual and reproductive health care and related fields.
  • Experience with research processes, ethical research standards, and the protection of human subjects in research.
  • Familiarity with the history of and current impacts of racial and gender inequities in healthcare.
  • Preference for clinicians able to provide care in a non-English language, and/or the ability to communicate with people for whom English is not their first language.

Skills Required
