As a PRN Pharmacist at Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy, you will work on an ad-hoc basis performing standard pharmacist duties in a closed-door setting. You will be responsible for providing coverage in times of high demand or when regular pharmacists are on paid leave.

Hours: PRN (This PRN role is expected to work approximately one 8-hour shift per week, typically Monday–Wednesday from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with the potential to work 2 shifts per week based on business needs.)
Location: Onsite in our Boothwyn, PA facility

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages the workflow processes which may include pharmacist verification and labeling/packaging.
- Reviews medication orders and evaluate their appropriateness and completeness.
- Complies with federal and local pharmacy laws as regulated by the State Boards of Pharmacy, the Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration.
- Performs all job duties with a friendly, positive, and team-oriented approach.
- Maintains required licenses or certifications in good standing.
- Complies with all company policies, procedures, rules, and standards.
- All other duties as assigned by the Pharmacist-in-Charge.
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum one year experience in a retail or long-term care pharmacy; 3+ years preferred.
- Must possess a PA State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License.
- Experience supervising pharmacy technicians.
- Minimal typing speed of 40WPM preferred.
- Medical Records experience preferred.
- Experience with FrameworkLTC preferred, not required.
- Positive personality who can work well within a team.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Can de-escalate and troubleshoot problems within the pharmacy.
